One bottle and five glasses to serve five friends around a table. Each friend can pick the glass of its choice, but none of them have to worry: each glass holds the same quantity of Licor Cafe.

    Stories in Form exhibition

    27 January – 25 March 2012

Stories provide a powerful means of communication, and in design they are part of a dynamic process involving the designer, product and owner. Object’s first Main Gallery exhibition of 2012, Stories In Form, will explore this through the work of five Australian designers — Elliat Rich, bernabeifreeman, Henry Wilson, Cinnamon Lee and Ben McCarthy — curated by Jacqueline Power.

On display will be everyday objects framed in a new way, from dining chairs to lights and bowls. Each of these products by award-winning designers has a story — but it is not just the story of the journey from conception to design and production. The stories speak to the future of the objects, the past of the designer, and the input of the final user.
